Counter Sales Manager - HVAC/Plumbing
to lead the day-to-day operations of our HVAC/Plumbing wholesale and retail part's counter located in Chicago. Position Details
Reports to the Senior Branch Manager Direct oversight of 5-10 associates Responsibilities
Leads the overall operation including hiring, providing constructive feedback to Counter Sales Reps, and scheduling of associates to ensure efficient and quality counter operations Supervises the merchandising, organization and appearance of the counter Effectively and professionally resolve complaints regarding products, customer purchases, and customer service Approve volume discounts and pricing adjustments and resolve pricing discrepancies with customers Train associates on product specifications, merchandising, counter organization, and sales Develop new customers through direct advertising and promotional campaigns Participate in leadership meetings and represent operational concerns, policies and guidelines to the management team Continually focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices Qualifications
3-5 years of prior sales experience Bilingual is a plus Supervisory experience is preferred HVAC and/or Plumbing Industry knowledge is preferred Ability to handle numerous customers simultaneously Ability to work with and analyze numbers Strong interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to work across department lines, manage time and people Problem solving, leadership and listening skills Able to initiate and embrace change, mentoring skills and desire to train others The ability to serve a vast array of customers with varying levels of product knowledge Ability to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance multiple demands and meet timelines Benefits and Pay
Pay Range:
$4,537.80 - $9,982.50 Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles. This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible. Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
