Senior Shift Manager Maintenance

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an open opportunity for a Senior Shift Manager Maintenance at our Dearborn Works location. This position will be supporting our Plant Services organization. The ideal Senior Shift Manager Maintenance will be able to direct a shift of employees while adhering to the company's key values of Safety, Quality, Production, and Innovation.
Summary of Responsibilities
Schedules routine activities. Supervises completion of work assignments and follows established department plans
Maintains general discipline of the crew in meeting the daily production, safety and quality objectives. Instructs personnel in job requirements, company rules and practices
Coordinates production and maintenance activities with different departments, assists in developing continuous improvement plans
Monitors site's operation, adheres to safety, environmental, quality, and productivity performance standards and performs regular audits
Leads employees' training and performance review programs. Improves overall production, processes and services efficiency
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Production supervisory experience within a heavy industrial environment required.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and communications skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in management, related field or equivalent experience required.
Experience managing in a union environment and/or in heavy industry preferred.
