What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to support the design and construction of a variety of new and renovations to existing industrial, manufacturing, office, and data center facilities on our high‑tech campus in Austin, TX.
What You'll Do
Provide comprehensive support for the design and construction of a diverse range of new builds and renovations to existing industrial, manufacturing, office, and data center facilities
Coordinate structural design on multidiscipline project teams including Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping/Plumbing, manufacturing, and IT professionals
Conduct structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures, along with the creation of justifying structural calculations
Make technical assumptions, think independently to complete assigned work, and draw conclusions based on engineering judgement
Working knowledge of US building codes, structural design standards. Familiarity with steel and concrete construction a plus
What You'll Bring
Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience
1 - 4 years of experience in structural design of commercial, industrial, data center, or manufacturing industries
Passed NCEES Engineer-In-Training (EIT) exam or licensed professional engineer (PE or SE) in good standing
Experience with analytical software (RISA, RAM, or ETABS) and Revit Structural. Familiarity with Revizto or Navisworks a plus
Detail-oriented and technical yet experienced enough to see the big picture. Able to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines
Self-directed, highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal oversight
