A client of Insight Global is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to join their Aerospace integration team. The role involves scripting and programming in Python across Windows and Linux, integrating complex equipment and subsystems, loading software onto racks, performing initial smoke checks, and ensuring components respond as expected. The engineer will develop system integration plans and procedures, create software load images for training devices, and support the buildup and integration of systems for final delivery at the customer’s site. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance pre-start is required. Responsibilities
Script and program in Python across Windows and Linux environments. Integrate subsystems including computational, networking, visual, communication, and power systems into training devices. Load software onto racks and perform initial smoke tests to verify functionality. Develop system integration plans and procedures; create software load images for training devices. Coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines (software, hardware, mission assurance) and troubleshoot system‑level issues. Support formal testing events and assist with final delivery at customer site. Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in engineering or technical field. 3-10+ years’ experience in aerospace, aircraft, or ground vehicle engineering. Technical experience with one or more of the following: Hardware/Software Integration, File Servers, Computational Systems, Networking Systems, Visual Systems, Operating Systems (Windows and/or Linux), and Scripting. Experience utilizing planning tools such as VersionOne or JIRA. Experience scripting and programming in Python across Windows and Linux. Ability to obtain interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance pre-start. Nice-to-have
