We are looking for a dependable and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Hilton Garden Inn. This role is responsible for keeping our building, systems, and equipment in excellent condition so that our guests enjoy a safe, comfortable, and worry-free stay. From routine preventive maintenance to responding to guest requests, you will play a vital part in keeping our hotel running smoothly and looking its best. Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure machines, equipment, and building systems operate efficiently Complete work orders, including replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, and small repairs Inspect, repair, and maintain hotel equipment such as HVAC, boilers, pool systems, kitchen appliances, laundry machines, and plumbing fixtures Service the hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals, cleaning filters, and maintaining logs Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and electronic components Refurbish or repair furniture and fixtures such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, and counters Maintain building exterior and curb appeal, including snow removal, lawn care, painting, and trash removal Operate heavy machinery and use hand tools and power tools safely Diagnose mechanical problems and repair equipment using manuals, blueprints, and parts catalogs Assist with major repair projects as needed Respond to guest requests and concerns in a courteous and timely manner Maintain clean, organized work areas and storage rooms Communicate with other departments regarding room conditions and project status Attend required training sessions and staff meetings Perform other related duties as assigned by management Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous hotel or building maintenance experience strongly preferred Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of maintenance issues Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and operate equipment safely Strong communication skills with a guest-first mindset Availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Benefits
