Joining H&R Block as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional means serving clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team and receiving advanced tax training to be successful. It would be even better if you also had experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax, and a track record of handling complex returns. Responsibilities
Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email). Prepare complete and accurate tax returns. Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services. Provide clients with IRS support. All certification levels can provide tax notice services; Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation. Mentor and support teammates. Complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment successfully. Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax; experience completing individual returns. Work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively in person, by phone and in writing. Meet IRS and applicable state requirements; high school diploma or higher. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (preferred). CPA or Enrolled Agent certification (preferred). Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership). 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax. Experience conducting virtual tax interviews. Experience with tax planning and audit support. Sales and/or marketing experience. Comfort working with virtual tools (video, phone, chat). Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with diverse clients. Benefits
