Manager, Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineer role at Capital One. This position focuses on leading a portfolio of technology projects and a team of engineers to deliver robust, cloud-based solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. What You'll Do
Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with experience in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs. Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in internal and external technology communities, mentor other engineers, and, from time to time, code or evaluate code. Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive experiences for customers. Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, and Go; container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes; CM tools like Ansible and Terraform; and AWS services. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree At least 4 years of experience in DevOps Engineering (internship experience does not apply) At least 3 years of experience in Cloud Native technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) At least 4 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience At least 2 years of people management experience Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of DevOps Engineering experience 4+ years of coding/scripting experience (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Go, Bash, Perl, or Ruby) 4+ years of experience with Apache Mesos, Marathon, or Apache Spark 4+ years of experience with build and deployment tools (Jenkins, Docker) 2+ years of experience with distributed databases (Cassandra, Elasticsearch) 2+ years of experience deploying clustered web services 2+ years of experience working within Agile development practices Additional Information
