Director, Scheduling-
Project Controls
to lead and manage the scheduling function across projects, ensuring accurate planning, resource allocation, and timeline adherence. This role requires advanced proficiency in
Oracle Primavera P6
to develop, maintain, and analyze very large and complex project scopes and schedules. The Director will collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and leadership to optimize project execution, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of objectives. Preference is for candidates located in the National Capital Region (NCR). Responsibilities
Develop, integrate, maintain, and oversee project schedules using
Primavera P6 , ensuring alignment with project objectives, budgets, and timelines. Establish baseline schedules and monitor progress to identify variances and recommend corrective actions. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather input and ensure schedules reflect accurate project scope and resource requirements. Conduct schedule risk analysis to identify potential delays and develop mitigation strategies. Prepare and present detailed reports on schedule performance, project progress, and key metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, industry standards, and organizational policies. Analyze resource availability and allocation to ensure efficient utilization across projects. Identify potential bottlenecks or conflicts and implement solutions to maintain project timelines. Lead and manage the scheduling team, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure consistent scheduling practices across all projects and departments. Act as the primary scheduling expert, providing guidance and support to project teams and leadership. What You’ll Bring — Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Typically 20+ years of related experience, with several years in a managerial capacity. Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience using
Primavera P6 . Proven track record of managing complex schedules for large-scale projects in industries such as engineering, construction, infrastructure, or software development. Experience in a leadership role managing scheduling teams and coordinating with cross-functional departments. Advanced proficiency in
Oracle Primavera P6
(including resource loading, critical path analysis, and schedule optimization). Strong understanding of project management principles, including earned value management (EVM). Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret scheduling data and provide actionable insights. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. What You’ll Bring — Desired Skills
Experience in the Federal Aviation market, with specific recent experience and knowledge of FAA, USACE, DoD, and other federal agencies. Security and Additional Information
