Hires and builds strong teams by partnering with leadership to create targeted hiring strategies and reflect the communities served. Follows standard operating procedures around performance management, including discipline, appraisals, and decisions regarding termination and advancement of teammates. Directly manages the team in assigned departments (Apparel, Footwear, and Hardlines) with dotted-line responsibility for teammates in other areas as Head Coach or Manager on Duty (MOD). Leads through coaching and development by providing in-the-moment guidance and creating space for leaders to identify opportunities and implement actionable solutions. Acts as point of contact for training initiatives; conducts one-on-one conversations, facilitates training workshops, and conducts role-play exercises to meet athlete needs. Partners with peers to deliver a great Athlete experience in specialized areas of the business (e.g., Rockwall, MultiSport Cage, Social Fitting Room, Golf Services). Operational Excellence
Regularly conducts data analysis using financial and operational tools to uncover business trends and drive store strategies, controlling expenses and optimizing ROI. Builds effective staff schedules using budget guidance and workload planning to best serve the Athlete. Communicates the company vision and aligns teammate responsibilities with overall performance and store success. Empowers teammates to identify challenges, perform root-cause analysis, and understand the rationale behind actions. Responsible for meeting budgets in sales and profitability across all P&L categories and store results. Community & Experience
Creates opportunities to engage with the community through events and volunteer activities; actively recruits to reflect community demographics. Keeps abreast of industry and competitor trends to prepare teammates to serve the Athlete effectively. Supports Experience and Community Teams with in-store events. Product & Visual Leadership
Ensures key CSC partner strategies are executed and maintained through the product lifecycle to drive new business sales. Oversees seasonal Gameplan sets and updates in assigned departments; ensures visual standards are maintained and opportunities are addressed through sell-through and trends. Educates and empowers the team to be product and operational experts, celebrates achievements, and highlights teammate impact and growth. Leadership
Drives overall financial performance by implementing strategies across sales, expenses, and all P&L categories. Prioritizes training and development; builds development plans, and makes recommendations regarding teammate progression. Maintains a people-first culture with open communication and a high-energy environment. Creates an inclusive store environment where everyone feels safe, welcome, and able to bring their best self to work. Leads, directs, and develops a large workforce. Qualifications
