The Project Manager coordinates and manages clients’ projects through all phases of laboratory operations, including but not limited to project setup in the laboratory database, field supply orders, sample login review, communication of anomalies or analytical issues, progress tracking, and timely report delivery. The role fosters positive client and colleague relationships and acts as a liaison between the two. Anticipate and address problems to avoid customer dissatisfaction Ensure accuracy of project-specific requirements Communicate with clients about samples and potentially hazardous substances; know laboratory safety procedures Work with the lab to ensure turn-around times and sample issues are communicated and followed Prioritize the workday based on deadlines and workload Provide support to sales staff Participate in internal and external audits when requested Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and Health and Safety Plan Other duties as assigned by laboratory leadership Your Expertise And Skills
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree in chemical, environmental, physical or biological sciences 2-5 years of project management experience Must be able to work on-site Preferred Skills
2+ years of environmental-related testing experience with demonstrated project management Experience with Microsoft Office; Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS) experience is desired Experience with environmental laboratory settings and progressive responsibilities in customer service or account management/sales Familiarity with analytical chemistry processes and willingness to learn various routine environmental testing procedures Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to relate professionally with clients and collaborate with laboratory and management staff Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple priorities Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving skills; ability to diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions Other Information
