Responsibilities
Develop high-quality mobile applications using Kotlin (advanced) and Jetpack Compose.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
Debug and resolve issues to ensure a seamless user experience.
Software Craftsmanship: Consistently produce high-quality, maintainable code.
Technical Documentation: Document designs, implementations, and best practices.
Engineering Advocacy: Support and promote technical standards within the team.
Project Leadership: Contribute to planning and execution of technical projects.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with product and design teams for smooth development cycles.
Innovation & Research: Investigate and propose innovative solutions for complex mobile challenges.
Guide software engineers as part of a full-stack team to deliver web and mobile features using React, Android, Node.js, GQL, etc.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, UX and designers, to grasp the requirements and deliver top-tier software product.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in software development, with 2+ years in Android development (Kotlin).
Experience developing and testing Server-side APIs for mobile and web clients using Node.js, Java, Go, etc. GraphQL APIs using Apollo is a plus.
Work with Kotlin, Coroutines, Flow/LiveData, MVVM & MVI architectures, Retrofit, GraphQL
Develop code for testability and write automated tests with JUnit 4, MockK, and Espresso tests to help uphold product quality on a high commit volume code base.
Experience with Android framework components and their lifecycles; strong knowledge of multithreading, networking, offline storage, and performance tuning.
Experience with Android SDKs, Jetpack libraries, and lifecycle-aware architecture.
Experience with Gradle build tooling, build performance tuning, and CI/CD integration via command-line builds.
Solid understanding of mobile design patterns and architectures.
Experience with static code analysis using Lint and developing custom Lint rules
Familiarity with public cloud technologies such as Azure OR Google Cloud Platform.
