Overview
Our Client, a Real Estate and Financial Services company, is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer for their McLean, VA location. Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters on AWS/GCP/Azure, ensuring high availability and scalability. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS Code Pipeline. Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation. Integrate AWS Lambda functions into platform workflows for event-driven automation. Manage AWS resources such as S3, RDS, and secrets using AWS Secrets Manager or Hashicorp Vault. Implement robust secrets management strategies across platforms and environments. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, security, and reliability. Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless platform integration and support. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and AWS best practices. Requirements
Must have 6+ years of relevant experience with working knowledge of AWS, Cloud Computing, Cloud Infrastructure, and Kubernetes. 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, SRE, or platform engineering roles. Deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture, deployment, scaling, and monitoring. Strong experience in AWS services, including Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC. Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and CloudFormation. Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipeline implementation. Advanced knowledge of secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, etc.). Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go, etc.). Solid understanding of networking, security, and observability in Kubernetes. Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools like Flux or ArgoCD. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.) and Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar certification are a plus. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience (required). Preferred
