Telecom Design Engineer (Data Centers) role at Jacobs. This opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office, but Jacobs intends to hire the best candidates. Base pay range: $85,000.00/yr - $111,525.00/yr. The actual pay will be based on skills and experience; talk with your recruiter to learn more. Responsibilities
Provide technical design of systems for building projects including security, fire alarm, voice, data, audio/visual, and other low voltage systems. Prepare engineering drawings and specifications, conduct site visits, review technical documents, maintain occasional customer contact, and integrate Owner-specific installation requirements with site-specific applications. Contribute across the full design process: preliminary assessments, concept creation, design, problem resolution, drawing and specification production, and coordination with customers and vendors. May work on several concurrent projects and act as a technical expert on a specialized design. Qualifications
Technical or Associate’s degree from an accredited institution 4+ years of experience actively designing low voltage and communication systems for buildings Familiarity with ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards Experience with Revit software Self-motivated to coordinate with other disciplines and clients as necessary Nice-to-have: Credential as an RCDD or working toward this title; Electrical Engineering degree or related discipline Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range is $85,000.00 to $111,525.00. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance; a 401(k) plan; the ability to purchase company stock at a discount; eligibility for deferred compensation plans; and Jacobs’ health and time-off programs (PPTO, holidays, caregiver leave).
