We have adopted an integrated approach to Lean Six Sigma as a problem-solving and performance improvement program. Our team analyses, optimizes, and designs end-to-end business processes and underlying systems through the application of Lean principles. The Manager, Business Process Engineering plays a key leadership role in collaborating closely with cross-functional leaders, vendors and employees at all levels, using skills in project management, Lean Six Sigma methodology and organizational change management (OCM). The position facilitates or coaches Kaizen events and workshops to quickly solve complex business problems and design optimized business processes to enhance the experience and deliver on our commitments to our members. Also, will perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional collaboration with leaders, vendors, and employees to design, improve, and implement end-to-end business processes and supporting systems using Lean Six Sigma principles.

Facilitate or coach Kaizen events and workshops to rapidly solve complex business problems.

Manage projects and drive organizational change management (OCM) to ensure sustained improvement and realization of benefits.

Develop and apply enterprise operating performance metrics and dashboards to monitor performance and inform decision-making.

Evaluate and optimize processes to enhance member experience and meet organizational commitments.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field, plus 7+ years of related work experience beyond degree within continuous improvement, BPM, health plan operations, etc.

Mastery of Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools including Kaizen events, A3, Kanban, 5 Whys, FMEA, Control Plans, etc.

Experience creating and implementing enterprise operating performance metrics and dashboards

Strong presentation skills

Proven leadership ability across large cross-functional teams

Continuous improvement and implementation experience

Health Plan/Payer and/or Healthcare operations experience

Licenses and Certifications

Black Belt Certification required

PMI-PMP certification preferred

Skills and Abilities

Client-focused program, project, and process management experience including operational and cross-functional workflow optimization

Proven ability to implement cross-functional performance metrics and dashboards

Hands-on change management experience preferred

Proven ability to formulate content and present clearly both internally and externally

Experience facilitating or coaching Kaizen events

Experience creating, building, and leading cross-functional teams from conception through implementation

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Visio, Smartsheet, PowerPoint & SharePoint

Location, Compensation and Benefits This position is an Office role, which requires onsite work at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average at least 3 days per week. The full salary grade is $111,200 - $190,600; typical hiring salary range is $111,200 - $166,740. Compensation may include incentive plan components. Medica offers a generous total rewards package including competitive medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, paid volunteer time off, 401K contributions, caregiver services and other benefits.
