Job Summary They are seeking a Director of Communications to lead storytelling, media strategy, and reputation management for one of the world’s most iconic consumer brands. You will manage a team and collaborate across marketing, product, and executive leadership to craft narratives that inspire users, engage media, and shape the public perception. You will oversee external communications, corporate reputation, and thought leadership programs. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with creativity and has experience building global campaigns that resonate across diverse audiences. Responsibilities Define and lead the overarching narrative supporting the brand’s evolution under new leadership. Drive messaging and media strategy around reputation, innovation, company values, and culture. Connect product and trust initiatives to broader conversations in technology, culture, and Gen Z life. Partner with the VP of Communications to craft POVs and narrative arcs around product principles, safety imperatives, and cultural relevance. Lead U.S. communications strategy for Trust & Safety initiatives, highlighting innovation, partnerships, and user protections. Translate complex safety policies and product features into clear, compelling messaging. Support platform launches and campaigns reflecting the Safety Is Fundamental principle. Own and drive content strategy for the Safety Center. Shape the voice and visibility of the CEO and senior leaders in partnership with the VP of Comms. Develop content, messaging, and coordination for speaking engagements and media opportunities. Ensure alignment with company narrative, culture, and reputation. Support real-time issues management, including messaging and stakeholder alignment. Build proactive and reactive playbooks for reputation risk management. Coordinate cross-functional response efforts with Legal, Policy, and Match Group counterparts. Lead storytelling for employer brand across LinkedIn and external platforms. Collaborate with DE&I, People, and Internal Comms to elevate the talent brand. Curate stories reflecting company identity, values, and future direction. Qualifications 10+ years in strategic, corporate, or brand communications — ideally within tech, media, or high-growth environments. Exceptional narrative thinker who understands brand transformation. Experienced in trust & safety, crisis communications, or regulated industries (or quick to learn). Skilled writer and strategist with a sharp instinct for what cuts through. Comfortable working directly with executives and navigating complex organizations. Calm, focused, and solutions-oriented under pressure. Passionate about evolving the brand to meet Gen Z where they are — socially, culturally, and ethically.
