Full time – Evening Shift – 40 hours

What Awaits You Patient Care Technicians at Johns Hopkins Hospital provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as a contributing member of the health care team. Ongoing education is provided to all Patient Care Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.

Responsibilities

Provide highly skilled and compassionate patient and family-centered care as a contributing member of the health care team.

Participate in ongoing education to maintain certification and scope of practice.

Attend training days off the unit during the first year to support professional development.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required

One year of clinical experience (e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care). Hospital experience preferred; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered

BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted

Salary Range:

Minimum $18.41/hour – Maximum $27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. Salary discussions may occur during candidate screening calls where applicable.
