Position Summary:
Shermco Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineer with power distribution experience who’s ready to take their technical expertise into a more strategic, client-facing role.
As a National Account Manager, you’ll partner with engineering and operations leaders across 10–15 major Food, Beverage & Agriculture companies to help them improve safety, reliability, and performance through Shermco’s electrical services. This is not a traditional sales job — it’s a technical leadership role where your engineering knowledge is the foundation for building relationships, solving problems, and growing key national accounts. Serve as the technical liaison and subject matter expert (SME) for Shermco’s national FB&A accounts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with client engineering and maintenance leaders.
Lead technical presentations, proposals, and discussions to demonstrate Shermco’s value and expertise.
Support regional sales and service teams with technical guidance and project alignment.
Develop and execute account plans with measurable metrics and KPIs.
Identify new service opportunities and drive continuous improvement for client operations.
Monitor industry trends, competitive insights, and emerging technologies to support strategic growth.
Report account performance, opportunities, and challenges to senior management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience in electrical power distribution (within the Food, Beverage, Agriculture, or Industrial sector preferred but not required)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills — comfortable engaging both technically and strategically.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems, think analytically, and lead discussions with clients and teams.
Interest and capacity to learn account management and business development (sales experience not required).
Confident, proactive, and adaptable with a client-focused mindset.
Ability to travel up to 50% and work independently in a national role.
