What You’ll Be Doing
Monitoring and Detection: Oversee the design and implementation of the Insider Risk Management (IRM) technology stack. Develop, tune, and deploy insider rules and policies in coordination with IRM Analysts and team members.
Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of potential insider threats, including monitoring employee behavior, access patterns, and data handling.
Reporting: Identify and track security service performance trends and risk metrics across portfolio. Prepare regular reports for senior leadership, highlighting trends, incidents, and risk mitigation efforts.
Program Oversight: Responsible for case management, process integrity, quality of work, and adherence to SLA requirements.
Program Enhancement: Update and maintain operational playbooks, capability baselines, and roadmaps. Identify process/technology gaps and provide recommendations to ensure alignment with industry best practices and legal requirements.
Collaboration: Engage cross-functional teams (HR, Legal, Security, Risk) to address risks and improve security posture. Build relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to enable and deliver program success.
Team Development: Cultivate existing talent and culture, including coaching and development of less experienced resources. Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem solving.
What You Bring
At least 5-7 years in Insider Risk Management, Data Security Engineering, or related roles.
Proficient in implementing one or more IRM technologies (e.g., EUBA, eDiscovery, Email DLP, Cloud DLP, EDR).
Proficient in data security techniques, procedures, and technology.
Strong understanding of the insider threat landscape, investigation and risk assessment methodologies, chain of custody requirements, and data protection regulations.
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Added bonus if you have
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Law, Criminal Justice, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent work experience.
Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, government).
Familiarity with data loss prevention (DLP) and user behavior analytics (UBA).
Incident response or digital forensics expertise.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC).
