Neptune Medical is a venture backed medical device company based in Silicon Valley. We design, manufacture, and commercialize medical devices based on our proprietary Dynamic Rigidization™ technology. Pathfinder® is our first FDA-cleared commercial device incorporating this novel technology. This advanced endoscopy device is being used at a growing list of leading U.S. hospitals and academic medical centers. Neptune is building a fully flexible medical robot that enables doctors to reach deep into human anatomy with Triton Robotic Endoscopy. TITLE:
Accountant POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Accountant at Neptune Medical, you will work with a team in a fast-paced environment and participate in the company’s growth while developing skills in accounting, auditing, taxes, expense management, and financial controls. This role reports to the Controller and interacts with team members at different levels.
Responsibilities
Play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the accounting function of Accounts Payable. Efficiently manage vendor invoices and payments using digital systems, ensuring timely and accurate financial record-keeping and effective internal controls.
Onboard vendors, apply a 3-way match to review, process and pay invoices; ensure accurate Sales and Use Tax accruals; collaborate with vendors and internal teams; prepare reports.
Perform month-end close activities such as journal entries, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and account reconciliations.
Assist in maintaining overall accounting systems, procedures and policies.
Identify broken processes within the Accounting function and seek opportunities for standardization and automation.
Participate in ad hoc accounting or finance projects and analyses as assigned.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of work experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business
Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities; willing to learn with a can-do attitude
Ability to solve complex problems daily
Excellent multitasking and time management skills; self-prioritization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective cross-functionally
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Experience with Netsuite, Bill.com, RAMP a plus
Location and Compensation Neptune Medical is located in Burlingame, CA, near the Millbrae Caltrain and BART Station.
The starting base salary range for this role is between $70,000 and $85,000 depending on experience. The base pay is determined by multiple factors and may be modified in the future. This role may be eligible for equity, benefits, and 401(k) with matching.
