About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join the Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Team. This role drives the company’s data strategy—leading report development initiatives, converting legacy Cognos reports to Power BI, and delivering high-impact, data-driven insights to business stakeholders. This is a strategic role for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about leveraging BI tools to solve complex business problems while supporting the mission to improve care outcomes. Key Responsibilities
BI Report Development:
Develop, enhance, and maintain reports using Power BI; convert legacy Cognos reports to Power BI with performance optimization and design consistency. Troubleshooting & Support:
Analyze and resolve issues in existing reports, including Cognos; collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth report delivery and end-user satisfaction. Data Modeling & Warehousing:
Develop robust data models to support efficient reporting; contribute to the design and development of Data Warehouses and DataMarts. Stakeholder Collaboration:
Gather requirements from business stakeholders and design solutions that improve processes and decision-making. Quality Assurance & Documentation:
Ensure solutions are reliable, documented, and meet standards for testing and compliance. Scalability & Security:
Build scalable BI solutions aligned with business needs and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA). Tooling & Governance:
Stay up to date with BI tools and technologies including MS Fabric, Sisense (bonus), and evolving data governance best practices. Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in Power BI report development, data visualization, and dashboard creation. Experience with Cognos 11.x for support and conversion efforts. Strong SQL skills including T-SQL, query optimization, and relational database design. Hands-on experience with SQL Server and building Data Warehouses/DataMarts. Knowledge of data governance, quality frameworks, and secure data handling. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Preferred/Bonus
