Hogwarts Legacy . This is a hybrid position

requiring up to 2-3 days per week onsite at Avalanche's Salt Lake City studio. We are looking for a visionary storyteller. Applicants should be creative, self-motivated problem solvers who enjoy collaborating with other writers and designers to create immersive narrative experiences. The Daily

Craft compelling quests, satisfying dialogue, and rich stories that support the developer and project vision. Champion narrative, thematic, and mechanical coherence across story and gameplay. Visualize, track, manage and communicate outward the “spaghetti monster” inherent in games with narrative choice. Collaborate with writers, designers and the game director to champion story in design and provide narrative support for design elements, such as story beat creation, game mechanics delivery, character profiles, character motivations, narrative feature design, player choices and player emotional journey as delivered through narrative during game development. The Essentials

Minimum of 3 years progressively complex game industry experience within design or narrative. A strong record of quality in writing and game design. Previous experience in interactive storytelling, narrative design, and game writing. Proven ability to create within an established franchise, authoring exciting new experiences that still feel authentic and tonally consistent. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with standard game-development processes and workflows. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a cross-culture and multi-time-zone team. Possess a deep literacy in games, film, literature, and television, and a love of fantasy. Nice-to-Haves

Experience in visual scripting languages like Unreal 5, Blueprints. Experience with dialogue authoring systems like Articy. How We Get Things Done…
