SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA)
to take on a
hands-on leadership role
within a global financial technology environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a

who enjoys being technically engaged while guiding and supporting a small, high-performing team. About the Role As a
VP-level DBA , you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of SQL Server databases while providing leadership to a small team of DBAs. You’ll coordinate workloads, ensure stability across environments, and play a key role in the ongoing
cloud migration to AWS . Working closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, you’ll champion best practice, automation, and continuous improvement across the database function. Key Responsibilities
Act as the
team lead
for the US DBA function — overseeing work allocation, priorities, and task sign-offs Maintain and optimize
Microsoft SQL Server
environments across production and non-production systems Lead the
migration from on-premise to AWS , supporting long-term modernization goals Promote
automation
and eliminate recurring issues through proactive fixes and tooling Drive adherence to
ITIL processes
for change, problem, and incident management (via ServiceNow) Collaborate with peers and global teams to ensure consistency and performance across all database platforms Skills & Experience Extensive hands-on experience as a
SQL Server DBA
in production environments Proven
team lead or deputy team lead
background — managing workloads and mentoring colleagues Strong understanding of
AWS
(cloud migration, RDS, or EC2 database hosting) Familiarity with
ITIL processes
and tools such as
ServiceNow Experience with
automation ,
root cause analysis , and process improvement initiatives Exposure to
PostgreSQL
and/or
Dynatrace
is a plus Background in
financial services
or
IT services / managed infrastructure
