This role oversees the day-to-day operations of the Medical Surgical unit in a reputable healthcare facility, in collaboration with the Director of Nursing to elevate patient outcomes, support staff development, and ensure operational excellence. Provide expert clinical leadership and oversee daily operations of the Med Surg unit. Collaborate with the Director to drive strategic goals, departmental growth, and patient satisfaction. Monitor and improve care delivery systems to ensure a safe, high-quality patient experience. Supervise staff scheduling, patient rounding, and workflow optimization. Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Develop staff competencies and implement professional development plans. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and nursing best practices. Participate in budgeting, resource allocation, and supply management. Conduct quality audits and monitor patient outcome metrics. Qualifications
Active RN License in New Hampshire or a valid compact state RN license Required 13 years of recent experience in acute care/Med Surg/Telemetry Required BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) Preferred Proven leadership experience in a clinical setting with the ability to mentor, coach, and manage nursing teams Strong understanding of hospital operations, patient flow, and clinical documentation standards Why This Opportunity Stands Out
