Overview
Lab Tech (Server Hardware), 11pm-8am Fri-Tues - Permanent, Onsite at Biblioso. Location: Redmond, WA. Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of end-to-end physical infrastructure for Hardware Engineering and Testing. Vendor and logistics coordination for deployment; integrate support with other lab sites for solution delivery. Physical implementation of racks, network equipment, power distribution units, and monitoring and automation tools. Build out and deployment of servers with associated wiring, configuration, and monitoring. Design and deployment of cabling and power to support hardware; include electrical engineering, board troubleshooting, and validation. Server disassembly/reassembly; handle lifting up to 35 lbs repeatedly. Administration & Support
Nice to have: design and administer servers, VMs, and private networks/testing domains (Hyper-V, AD with DNS, imaging, SCCM). Troubleshoot and resolve issues in new and existing infrastructure. Handle intake of issues and changes, investigate root causes, and implement fixes at software and hardware levels. Enable remote workers to carry out physical dependencies for validation work; support rapid POC for ad-hoc requests. Set up and configure equipment for threshold and physical validation (e.g., oscilloscopes and capture mechanisms). Coordinate onsite rework with other departments (firmware flashing, hotfixes, board soldering). Requirements
Strong understanding of IT hardware functionality. Experience with software administration or related areas (e.g., software testing, systems admin, infrastructure support). Benefits
