MoxiWorks
Overview
Senior AI Engineer position at MoxiWorks. Location: Bellevue, WA Headquarters-Hybrid (3 days per week) / Remote. Annual Salary Range: $160-$190k (depending on experience). Reports to: Engineering Manager (with potential to grow into Lead AI Engineer reporting to VP Engineering). To be considered: you must be a current local resident with the ability to be in the Bellevue office 3 days a week; you must be eligible to work for any employer without sponsorship (including student visa); you must have current Ruby on Rails and AI systems experience. About The Role
We’re building an exciting new product in the real estate tech space, and we’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our founding AI team. This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about turning generative AI concepts into production-ready features and shaping the future of intelligent software experiences. You’ll architect and deliver AI-powered agents that leverage our Ruby on Rails and React product ecosystem, while tapping into AWS AI infrastructure to deploy scalable, secure, and high-performing systems. As one of the first AI engineers on the team, you’ll have the opportunity to grow into a Lead AI Engineer role — mentoring others, driving AI strategy, and influencing technical direction across our products. Your Next Opportunity
AI Agent Development: Design, build, and maintain intelligent, autonomous, or conversational AI agents to enhance user productivity and automate key workflows. AI/ML System Development: Architect, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end AI systems and generative AI applications leveraging AWS AI services and open-source frameworks. Full-Stack Integration: Collaborate with backend (Ruby on Rails) and frontend (React) engineers to seamlessly integrate AI-driven features into our core product experience. Data Pipeline Management: Develop and manage robust data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and transformation of real estate datasets to power model training and inference. Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with product, data, and engineering teams to define requirements, validate solutions, and champion AI best practices. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize deployed models, APIs, and agents for reliability, accuracy, and cost efficiency. Innovation & Research: Evaluate and apply new technologies in LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic AI to solve complex real-world problems. Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship, contribute to coding standards, and help shape the long-term AI technical roadmap. Lifecycle Ownership: Manage the full AI development lifecycle—from concept to deployment, performance tracking, and iteration. What Qualifies You
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. 5+ years of experience in AI, ML, or software engineering roles with strong exposure to production-grade AI systems. Proficiency in Python and familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or LangChain. Hands-on experience deploying AI models or services in a cloud environment (AWS preferred). Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design. Strong grasp of LLMs, Generative AI, and RAG methodologies. Excellent collaboration skills and a track record of delivering results in cross-functional teams. Preferred
Experience integrating AI into web applications built on Ruby on Rails and React. Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, or Weaviate) and embeddings for information retrieval. Exposure to MLOps tools and best practices (SageMaker, MLflow, etc.). Interest in real estate or property technology applications. Career Growth Path
This role offers a clear progression into Lead AI Engineer — responsible for technical direction, mentoring, and team leadership as we scale our AI function. You’ll play a pivotal role in defining our AI strategy and establishing best practices across product and engineering teams. Benefits
