Job Overview At T-Mobile, the Sr Manager, Procurement leads a team of professionals responsible for maximizing the performance, value, and resilience of T‑Mobile’s strategic technology partners. This role ensures that vendors deliver consistently against contractual commitments, service level agreements (SLAs), and compliance requirements while building relationships that drive innovation, agility, and long‑term business outcomes. As a people leader, the Sr Manager develops and mentors a high‑performing team that executes governance frameworks, including vendor scorecards, performance reviews, and risk management processes. The team monitors vendor performance, financial health, security posture, and regulatory compliance to ensure proactive risk mitigation and operational continuity. This leader also drives value realization by ensuring vendors contribute measurable results to T‑Mobile’s digital transformation and customer experience goals. The Sr Manager partners closely with Procurement to align on vendor lifecycle activities, including renewals, renegotiations, and exit strategies, safeguarding T‑Mobile’s interests and maintaining business agility. Partnering across IT, finance, legal, and business stakeholders, the Sr Manager fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation. Ultimately, this role ensures that T‑Mobile’s vendor ecosystem operates as a strategic enabler delivering reliability, compliance, and sustained business value.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee a team of vendor management professionals, providing guidance and leadership to enhance performance.

Manage vendor and strategic supplier relationships to secure advantageous terms and maintain supply chain reliability.

Develop vendor management strategies that align with organizational goals and ensure cost‑efficiency.

Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve the vendor management process.

Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations within the procurement department.

Interact regularly with internal and external executives to align procurement strategies with business objectives.

Perform other duties and projects as assigned by business management.

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or Engineering (Required)

Master’s/Advanced Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management (Preferred)

7–10 years of experience leading and managing procurement processes and supply chain operations in a technology or wireless industry (Required)

7–10 years of experience developing and negotiating complex agreements with suppliers, including key program specifications and objectives (Required)

7–10 years of experience implementing procurement strategies and solutions to enhance supply chain effectiveness and cost‑efficiency (Required)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Vendor Management – Expertise in managing and negotiating with vendors to secure favorable terms and maintain supply chain efficiency. (Required)

Strategic Planning – Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization’s overall business goals. (Required)

Leadership – Strong leadership skills to guide and develop a team of procurement professionals, fostering a high‑performance culture. (Required)

Problem Solving – Capability to identify and resolve complex issues within the procurement process. (Required)

Negotiation – Proficient in negotiation to achieve optimal contract terms and cost savings while maintaining quality and service standards. (Required)

Analytics – Strong analytical skills to assess procurement metrics and performance, facilitating data‑driven decision making. (Required)

Supply Chain Management – Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain operations including planning, forecasting, and inventory control. (Required)

Communication – Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders and lead executive‑level presentations. (Required)

Financial Analysis – Ability to perform financial analysis to evaluate vendor proposals and overall cost‑effectiveness of procurement activities. (Required)

Change Management – Skills in managing change within the procurement department to adopt new processes and technologies effectively. (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification from APICS. (Preferred)

Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM). (Preferred)

Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI). (Preferred)

At least 18 years of age.

Compensation Overland Park, KS Compensation Range: $140,300 – $189,800

Frisco, TX Compensation Range: $148,900 – $201,400

Base Pay Range: $128,800 – $232,400 Corporate Bonus Target: 20%
