Supplier Quality Engineer II - Aerospace Manufacturing/REMOTE/Northeast Region Location: Remote-based with regular travel to supplier sites (local and domestic). The future is what you make it. In Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) we’re finding innovative, collaborative ways to improve delivery and quality of our suppliers, creating a vital link between our supply chain, internal factories and our customers.

Responsibilities

Proactively reviews suppliers, assesses operational gaps to identify risks and takes systematic actions to develop a world class supplier.

Globally responsible for supplier development, quality improvement and sustainment.

Works with sourcing, business, engineering and customers on strategies to improve product quality and delivery.

Implements big ideas and continuous improvement projects delivering an impact across the business.

Leads through coaching and technical engagement to create a performance culture with suppliers.

Support supplier compliance with Honeywell requirements and drive First Article Inspection (FAI), Source Inspection, and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).

Collaborates with suppliers, senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure supplier compliant products, reduce risk, and enable on-time delivery; develops skills through mentorship and coaching.

Travel to supplier sites and Honeywell facilities as needed to support supplier performance and program goals.

Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to SQE processes, quality measures, productivity, escapes, and supplier FAI First Pass Yields.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics).

2+ years of experience in Quality, Engineering or manufacturing.

Us Person Requirement: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or asylum/refugee status in the U.S.

Preferred/Value-Added Qualifications

Collaborative and coachable team player with strong problem-solving skills.

Curious, detail-oriented, adaptable to changing priorities.

Strong communication skills; familiar with GD&T, inspection techniques, ISO9001, AS9100, NADCAP, APQP and PPAP; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.

Experience in aerospace mechanical and/or electronics manufacturing preferred.

Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing is a plus.

Travel & Physical Requirements

Travel up to 25-50% to customer sites regionally.

Ability to meet physical requirements (vision, lift up to 20 lbs, walking/standing for extended periods).
