Program Monitor

position plays a key role in coordinating contract, lease, and procurement activities across multiple LDH offices. Working collaboratively with statewide teams, this position provides guidance, oversight, and training to ensure effective and compliant operations. Five years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR A bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR An advanced degree or a Juris Doctorate plus one year of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. LDH is composed of the Office of the Secretary (OS), the Office of Management and Finance (OMF), the Office of Aging and Adult Services (OAAS), the Office of Behavioral Health (OBH), the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (OCDD), the Office of Public Health (OPH), the Office of Women’s Health (OWH), the Office of the Surgeon General (OSG), Medical Vendor Administration (MVA) and Medical Vendor Payments (MVP). MVA and MVP compromise the Medicaid program. Coordinate statewide contract, lease, and procurement activities across all Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) offices and programs. Provide functional supervision and oversight to section heads, coordinators, and administrators involved in contract, lease, and procurement processes. Collaborate with supervisors to develop and deliver training for contract, lease, and procurement staff across LDH agencies. Ensure compliance with state and departmental policies, procedures, and regulations governing contract and procurement operations. Monitor and evaluate agency contract and procurement activities to identify areas for improvement and promote consistency statewide. Work collaboratively with LDH leadership and program offices to support efficient, transparent, and accountable contract and procurement practices. Position Details
