The Woodshop Coordinator supports the successful execution of new store openings, store refreshes, and maintenance projects by building, laminating, organizing, and shipping custom wood fixtures and furniture. This role partners closely with the Woodshop Manager and team members to plan and prioritize daily tasks, track deliverables, and ensure timely shipments. The Coordinator helps maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment by monitoring supplies, adhering to safety protocols, and participating in regular shop maintenance. Through attention to detail and strong coordination, this position ensures all fixtures meet quality standards and are delivered on schedule to support store operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Cut and build new wooden fixtures for new store openings.
Finish, laminate, and clean assembled furniture and fixtures in preparation for store delivery.
Collaborate with the Woodshop Manager to organize and track current builds, upcoming projects, and repair needs.
Maintain an up-to-date list of deliverables and shipment dates for all items destined for stores.
Coordinate with woodshop personnel to pack, stage, and organize all wrapped fixtures for transport to new stores and store refresh projects. Ensure trucks are loaded in an efficient and orderly manner.
Collaborate with the Woodshop Manager to monitor and track daily supply usage, ensuring materials are replenished in advance to prevent delays in fixture production.
Adhere to woodshop safety protocols standards (wear eye protection, masks when using chemicals, gloves if handling chemicals and or sharp objects).
Participate in weekly woodshop maintenance (general cleanup of space, removal of sawdust and flammable items from floors and work surfaces).
Organize and maintain the storage area of the shop in a clean and orderly fashion.
Qualifications and Requirements:
At least one year of fine carpentry experience in woodworking, fabrication or related field.
Basic computer skills in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite and other programs.
Able to operate light machinery (wood saw, spray gun, staple gun, router, etc.) and occasionally operate a forklift.
Must be able to interact with all levels of management.
Must be able to work independently and be able to prioritize once given assignments.
Must have a California driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Must be able to travel to local stores and vendors to pick up supplies and or display fixtures (on a case-by-case basis).
Organization & Coordination skills highly preferred.
Thinking Skills (Problem Solving & Decision Making) constantly improve the processes we use.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Learning & adaptability traits preferred
Able to multi-task.
Physical/Environmental Demands: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb to perform duties. Team Members must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to; access all areas of the Woodshop and back offices and work varied hours/days to oversee Woodshop operations. The environment is fast paced, and day time temperatures and conditions may vary.
