Job Purpose
Our Associate Sales Consultant will be responsible for executing sales strategies, initiating contact with existing and potential customers, identifying customers’ needs and creating customized solutions that generate sales and profit growth.
Job Responsibilities
Increase revenue and profitability through generation of new business and further development of existing accounts.
Develop sales plans to grow sales and profitability within accounts.
Generate new leads by networking, cold calling, researching various directories and internet sites.
Understand complex requirements from customers for preparation of customized quoting.
Negotiate pricing and value-added services based on quoting configurations.
Prepare periodic reports for management, identifying successful sales activities, sales trends, special account information or issues and any follow up action required.
Track market trends and develop competitive insights to be shared among the business unit.
Must work closely with internal cross function teams to ensure commitments are achieved.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales/customer service environment.
Knowledge of corrugated packaging, box styles, board combination, etc. preferred.
Prior experience in package sales preferred.
Basic understanding of manufacturing, design, scheduling, and technical aspects of packaging.
Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Ability to use and create customer presentations.
Analytical skills to determine economic consequences of manufacturing a product on various machine centers.
Work Experience 2+ years related experience preferred
Education
Associate Degree Preferred
Physical Requirements
A significant portion of the job responsibilities will require computer work that involves the continuous use of the fingers, hands, wrists, and sitting for long periods of time.
The position also requires frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
The position requires work in an office as well as travel to customers, suppliers, group meetings, etc.
