Overview As our Family Visitation Aide, you’ll make a meaningful impact by supporting children under DCFS guardianship. In this role, you’ll transport children to family visits and essential appointments, work closely with our Child Welfare Case managers and Therapists to coordinate schedules, supervise visits, and gather documentation from community providers. You’ll maintain detailed reports on each supervised visit, communicating important observations to the treatment team to ensure every child receives the highest level of care, supervision and support.
Responsibilities
Transport children under DCFS guardianship to family visits and essential appointments
Coordinate schedules with Child Welfare Case managers and Therapists
Supervise visits and gather documentation from community providers
Maintain detailed reports on each supervised visit and communicate important observations to the treatment team
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Experience working with children or youth (preferred)
Willing and able to complete a physical exam and TB (PPD) test within 30 days of hire
Valid State Driver’s License and automobile insurance
If relocating to Illinois, an IL driver’s license must be obtained within 30 days of hire
