The Diagnostic Technologist (Radiographer) is fully competent to perform all radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures for the diagnosis of specific diseases or conditions. Responsibilities
Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures for diagnostic purposes as part of patient care. Qualifications
Education and Formal Training
You must have graduated from an accredited program in the radiologic sciences. You must be ARRT (Radiography) registered, or registry eligible. You must maintain a current AHA BLS certification through Cape Fear Valley Training and Development department. Work Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience preferred. New graduates may apply that are ARRT registered or registry eligible. New graduates who are registry eligible must be registered by ARRT in Radiography within twelve months of hire date. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You must demonstrate positive interpersonal skills. Verbal and written skills required. You must demonstrate good patient care, knowledge of growth and development, and understand the range of treatment needed for all age groups. You must provide care based on the patient’s developmental need. Experience in treating and interacting effectively with patients of all ages. Physical Requirements
This position requires a lot of standing and bending. You must have manual dexterity and visual acuity. You must have mobility to assume awkward positions and respond to emergency situations. You must be able to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 100 lbs and carry objects up to 50 lbs. May involve exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials. Required Licenses and Certifications
