Piedmont Athens Regional is recruiting for a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join Cardiac Acute Care Services. This is a full-time position and will include a night call, weekend, and holiday rotation. Responsibilities
Ambulatory care responsibilities include outpatient independent cardiology follow up and new patient clinics, with reports progress to a supervising physician. Establish treatment plans for a wide range of cardiac problems and educate patients on diagnoses and treatment plans. Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures. Explain necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to patients, family, and staff. Inpatient responsibilities include evaluating and treating cardiology patients in an inpatient setting. Take patient history, conduct physical examinations, and record data in the patient record. Develop treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians and other APPs. Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients. Proctor nuclear stress tests and work alongside physicians and APPs in a collaborative, team-based environment. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: PA: Graduate of a Physician Assistant program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board. NP: Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Masters degree in Nursing. Additional Details
