Occupational Therapist (OT) – Sign-on Bonus

Join Spectrum Center Schools and Programs as an Occupational Therapist (OT) with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. This role supports a collaborative, purpose-driven team focused on special education and meaningful outcomes for students in Grades K-12. Responsibilities

Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in each Individualized Education Program (IEP), including adherence to frequency, duration, and service location requirements. Complete comprehensive assessment reports within state- and district-mandated timelines to support data-driven educational planning. Communicate evaluation results and therapy recommendations to families, educational staff, students (as appropriate), and related agencies with appropriate guardian consent. Plan and develop targeted therapeutic goals that are educationally relevant and integrated into each student\'s academic program. Conduct ongoing reassessments and adjust therapy objectives based on student needs and progress toward educational outcomes. Monitor therapy fidelity and collaborate with and train educators, paraprofessionals, and other staff involved in occupational therapy interventions. Document student progress through timely reporting aligned with district standards and program guidelines. Participate in IEP meetings to share data-informed insights and progress updates to support individualized planning. Create a supportive, safe, developmentally appropriate learning environment tailored to each student\'s sensory, physical, and cognitive needs. Evaluate progress toward therapy goals and determine when students may transition from or discontinue occupational therapy services. Facilitate professional development sessions and in-service trainings to enhance the capacity of the occupational therapy team and interdisciplinary staff. Support training of school personnel on assistive technology and adaptive equipment, with proper documentation of use and outcomes. Attend and engage in required team meetings, trainings, and collaboration forums. Perform additional duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the student services team. Qualifications

Master\'s degree or higher in occupational therapy or a closely related field. Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a state OT credential. Experience or strong knowledge in providing occupational therapy services, preferably in educational and/or behavioral health settings. Experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with severe learning, emotional/behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and related disabilities. Experience with students who have individualized education plans (IEPs). Proven success in developing and implementing effective treatment plans for students with diverse needs. Ability to motivate students and conduct constructive conversations to move them toward realistic goals. Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in emergencies and make independent decisions. Strong relationship-building skills with students, parents, teachers, and community/district partners. Advanced communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency with technology including computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry, and basic office equipment. About Spectrum Center and Perks
