Job Title: Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist - WEO (Computed Tomography)
The Diag Rad and CT Technologist WEO is responsible for providing high-quality patient care during Computed Tomography (CT) procedures using approved workflows and procedural protocols. Working under direct supervision, this position uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the human anatomy, aiding radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders. This role offers a weekend option, where staff members are required to commit to WEO requirements and work two shifts within the WEO window for a premium rate.
Responsibilities:
Operate head or body x-ray scanners to create computer-generated cross-sectional images (CAT scans).
Perform routine and special CT exams following established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose, maintaining exam productivity within benchmarks.
Complete all exams and documentation accurately in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), including correct charge identification and error resolution.
Educate and prepare patients for examinations to improve understanding, cooperation, and overall patient experience.
Adhere to safe practices, Just Culture principles, and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) to eliminate errors and improve patient outcomes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program.
Experience: Not specified; relevant experience preferred.
Licensure, Certification, or Registry Requirements:
Acceptable licenses include ARRT: RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT); NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT); or a combination of ARRT RT(N) and NMTCB(CT), ARRT RT(R) and NMTCB(CT), ARRT RT(T) and NMTCB(CT).
BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
