Overview
Per Diem/Weekends Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) at Roze Room Hospice. Long Beach/South Bay areas (includes some Orange County and LA areas). Shift: 8am-4:30pm Saturdays and Sundays. Salary: $35.00-$38.00/hr, plus mileage reimbursement. Responsibilities
Provide skilled nursing and palliative care to patients at their place of residence under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Cooperate with Interdisciplinary Team members; provide intermittent visits or shifts of skilled nursing care, including pain management and symptom control. Provide information about the expected course of illness, care techniques, and other health measures to patients, family members, or primary caregivers. Participate in care plan development and implementation. Utilize computers and be comfortable with electronic medical records. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing. Current LVN license within the State of California. Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing encouraged. At least one year of LVN experience. Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, reliable and well-maintained transportation. Spanish speaking a plus but not required.
