Marymount Hospital, Garfield Heights, Ohio. Marymount Hospital is a 269-bed acute care, faith-based hospital and became a member of the Cleveland Clinic Healthcare System in 1995. Marymount Hospital’s Emergency Department combines advanced technology with expert caregivers to provide rapid, specialized diagnosis and treatment for medical emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The department is located in the Critical Care Tower for safe, rapid patient transfer to the hospital Intensive Care Unit if necessary. Board-certified emergency physicians, specially trained nurses and clinical caregivers treat a wide range of emergency conditions. Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being prioritizes caregiver safety by identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. A caregiver in this position works nights, 7:00pm–7:30am with every other weekend and holiday required . Responsibilities

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Monitors and documents patient’s condition and the effectiveness and timeliness of care and interventions. Evaluates, updates and revises plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Assesses educational needs of the patient and significant others considering cultural issues and other special concerns. Provides teaching and educational material as appropriate; validates patient and family understanding of teaching. Maintains professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN). Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Ohio. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). For the ED, ACLS and PALS through AHA on hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department. Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department (ED) experience. Military RN experience will be considered. Physical Requirements

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Pay Range
