We are seeking a committed professional to join our team. While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. Responsibilities
Technical and Clinical Support: Provide clinical expertise for TAVR implanting centers, including scrubbing in for TAVI implant procedures, assisting with loading valves onto delivery catheter, and providing technical support in accordance with instructions for use/trial protocol and best practices to facilitate procedural consistency and best clinical outcomes. Educational Support: Support site performance and safe growth. Assist in education and training activities with physicians, hospital support staff and Medtronic personnel. Stay abreast of and communicate clinical data regarding Medtronic products and TAVR therapy. Sales Support: Post-approval collaboration with territory sales representatives and CVG field organization to achieve sales targets and implement business plans. Position requires collaboration with implanting teams and CBT/CVG field organizations to drive procedural and practice success. Position Responsibilities (Clinical Trial / Post-Approval)
Provide quality technical support to help sites achieve procedural success. Provide technical leadership for TAVR device procedures. Educate implanting teams on proper indications for TAVR procedures. Provide support on device suitability with imaging and physiological monitoring knowledge. Develop and maintain comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge. Understand current published TAVR literature. Recognize competitive products and industry trends. Liaise with R&D for technology improvements and next generation needs. Oversee local education and training activities including coordination of simulators, simulated procedures, and staff in-services related to TAVR procedures. Coordinate with district sales to support customer relationships, inventory/ordering, and after-sales service. Maintain professional communication with CVG sales and leadership within assigned geography; share market intelligence promptly. Qualifications - External
MUST HAVE - BASIC QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma and 6+ years’ experience in a clinical or sales healthcare environment OR 6+ years of military experience with honorable discharge Associate’s degree and 4+ years’ experience in a clinical or sales healthcare environment OR High School Diploma and 4+ years of military experience with honorable discharge Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience in a clinical or sales healthcare environment OR Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of military experience with honorable discharge NICE TO HAVE - DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s Degree in engineering, nursing, or the sciences Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Science Experience with wires, balloons, catheters, stents Understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology Experience communicating product advantages to physicians and hospital administration Experience managing multiple accounts Experience teaching and educating medical personnel, peers and technical support personnel Imaging interpretation experience (TTE/TEE, CT, angiograms) Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Strong influencing, consulting and interpersonal skills; ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Strong work ethic and project management skills Knowledge of medical terminology and medical device industry Physical Job Requirements
Regular mobility, computer use, and communication with peers and co-workers Able to lift 20 pounds Extended periods of computer-based work Hearing, sight, and speaking abilities; CT reconstruction and imaging support Extensive travel by car and plane; valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance required Ability to wear lead apron for long periods; travel with overnight stays up to 50-75% of the time Ability to work in Cath Labs or ORs with radiation exposure Business may involve hours outside typical Monday–Friday schedule Environmental Exposures
