Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of a variety of operative procedures Provide a 10-star patient experience Prepare instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics and OS Pass dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry) Make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair while preparing them for treatment Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment Monitor daily supplies for restocking Assist dentist in providing patients with instructions for oral care post-dental treatment procedures Required Skills/Abilities
Required: six months DA experience; active WA state dental assistant registration number Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service & written communication skills Organizational skills and attention to detail Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care Prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Preferred: coronal polishing certificate Dentologie Benefits and Perks
