Per Diem Medical Weight Loss Physician
BILH Danvers, MA - Specialty Care, Lifestyle Management
Join Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) in Danvers, MA, as a per diem physician foc used on medical weight management. This is a unique opportunity to provide specialized, patient-centered care within a supportive, multidisciplinary setting, offering flexible hours to balance your professional and personal life. Key Responsibilities:
Medical Evaluation:
Conduct initial and follow-up medical visits, including history, physical exams, and lab review.
Treatment Planning:
Formulate and manage individualized, evidence-based medical weight loss plans. This includes prescribing and adjusting FDA-approved weight loss pharmacotherapy.
Co-Morbidity Management:
Diagnose and manage metabolic conditions (e.g., Type 2 Diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia) often associated with obesity.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
Work closely with the existing Weight Management Team (e.g., Dietitians, Behavioral Health Specialists, Exercise Physiologists) to ensure holistic patient care.
Documentation:
Maintain timely and accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), like Epic.
Qualifications:
MD/DO degree from an accredited school. Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related specialty. Specialized Training or documented experience in Obesity Medicine is highly preferred (e.g., Board Certification from the American Board of Obesity Medicine, or equivalent). Active, unrestricted Massachusetts Medical License and DE A/MCSR registration.
