Overview
High School Biology Teacher - RISE Campus. We seek a dedicated secondary science teacher to provide rigorous instruction and to foster an engaging, supportive learning environment aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards and the RMP Science Academic Program & Resources.
Responsibilities
All Teachers at Rocky Mountain Prep: Own student outcomes by setting high expectations, using data to guide teaching, maximizing instructional time, re-teaching where needed, promoting scholar growth and proficiency; engage in regular coaching and continuous improvement; be punctual and prepared for lessons, coaching sessions, staff meetings, and professional obligations; build an inclusive classroom culture; foster strong family relationships through communication and engagement; embody RMP values (Perseverance, Excellence, Adventure, Kindness); collaborate with colleagues and support staff; participate in school-wide initiatives and recruitment efforts; support school operations (arrival, dismissal, lunch).
Science Teachers at Rocky Mountain Prep: Internalize curricular materials using the Intellectual Preparation Protocol; collaborate with instructional coaches to improve lesson plans; pursue ongoing science pedagogy development; challenge students with tasks that promote scientific thinking and student-led learning; align lessons to NGSS and implement practices to promote understanding of grade-level science content; manage lab materials and comply with CDE Science Safety Regulations; implement intervention strategies based on student data; adapt to the fast-paced, data-driven environment and contribute to evolving concepts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (any subject)
Within the first year: complete CDE READ Act training or CDE Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) training – 45 contact hours
Pass a background check
Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States
Preferred Certifications (as applicable)

Compensation and Benefits
Salary: Full-time position with a salary range of $60,000 to $89,000, based on experience and qualifications
