Overview
The Department of Leukemia at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center seeks a board-certified/eligible M.D. clinician to join its full-time faculty at the Assistant Professor level. This opportunity emphasizes hospital attending service with an opportunity for outpatient clinical care focusing in the applicant's area of academic interest. Time off from hospital service provides dedicated research time to engage in translational and clinical research related to high-risk clonal hematopoiesis, acute leukemias, and bone marrow failure syndromes. There will be opportunities for collaboration with scientists within the institution, faculty mentorship, and participation in an active inpatient and outpatient care management team. The selected applicant should have expertise in hematology as evidenced by prior training and appointments and be able to obtain a medical license in Texas. Provide hospital attending service and participate in inpatient and outpatient care management. Engage in outpatient clinical care focusing in area(s) of academic interest. Utilize dedicated research time for translational and clinical research in hematology-related areas. Collaborate with scientists, participate in mentorship, and engage in multidisciplinary teamwork. Qualifications
Board-certified or eligible M.D. clinician. Evidence of hematology expertise through prior training and appointments. Ability to obtain a medical license in Texas. Location & Compensation
Work Location: Onsite Salary range: $272,740 to $346,708 base, eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive health and retirement benefits, time off, relocation support as applicable. Institution & Location
