Integer Holdings Corporation The primary purpose of this job is to plan, conduct, and direct research and development projects where the complexities of the technical problems require advanced knowledge and scientific specialization. Responsibilities Initiates, designs, develop and coordinate projects in support of company goals, supervising support personnel as needed. Writes proposals, reports and plans and presents technical papers to enhance and promote the GB image. Provides project leadership, gives instructional and directional guidance to technicians. Reviews technical and patent issues. Has patent responsibility. Coordinates interdepartmental and customer interactions involving technical issues. Acts as resource/consultant on technical matters. Maintains and troubleshoots equipment and makes purchase recommendations. Provides leadership with progress updates on projects on a weekly/monthly basis. Performs other functions as required. Adheres to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including QMS, FDA regulations, company policies and procedures, and other regulatory requirements. Develops new and unique approaches to complex problems and leads projects to advance Integer’s technological capabilities. Investigates and interprets internal or external technology and business trends and recommends best practices to the organization. Evaluates, develops and implements a wide range of new technologies of significant scope and complexity. Identifies and procures new equipment and technology of significant complexity, scope and cost. Origines new documents such as protocols, reports, specifications and work-instructions; reviews documentation work product of peers and subordinates. Plans and develops engineering projects concerned with unique or high-profile problems with important impact on major programs. Leads cross-functional teams or projects with moderate resources, risk or complexity and may influence others to achieve goals. Provides supervision for up to 4 to 5 technicians and/or associate engineers and acts as coach and mentor for other engineers. Initiates and maintains relationships with individuals and business units within or outside the site; may deploy expertise across multiple organizations or locations; occasional travel may be required. Embeds quality within the engineering discipline and acts as a standard bearer for quality within Integer’s QMS, contributing to corrective and preventive actions and quality KPI attainment. Performs other duties as needed and directed by supervision. Provide support of Integer’s Manufacturing Excellence and Market Focused Innovation Strategies Champion development and deployment of systems and tools to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Embrace the Manufacturing Excellence culture based on the Integer Production System and its five focus areas: Strategy Alignment through Site Hoshin Plans and regular planning cadences; updates to value stream maps. Leadership of Sustained Change through production monitoring, improvement activities and Leader Standard Work. Standardization via 5S, Manufacturing Standard Work, and robust training and certification programs. Associate Engagement through standardized problem solving, safety programs, and idea systems. Systems & Process Optimization through built-in quality, scheduling and material system design, work cell design, and maintenance principles. Innovation and ideation with continuous improvement suggestions and implementation support. Collaboration and results-driven performance. What Sets You Apart Master’s degree; PhD preferred. Subject matter expert with 5-7+ years in engineering or technically focused roles. Computer, word-processing and spreadsheet skills; problem-solving abilities. Compensation and Benefits Senior Scientist/Battery Modeling Salary: $110,250- $161,700 Our total rewards program includes base salary, incentive pay, comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, disability, life, adoption benefits), parental leave after one year, optional supplemental coverage, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off and holidays.
