Overview Adecco has partnered with an Investment Casting company to hire a Project Engineer in Markesan, WI. You will be responsible for the design, integration, and optimization of manufacturing processes and inspection standards. This role leads initiatives to improve cost efficiency, productivity, and product reliability across the facility and collaborates with the Process Engineer and Customer Support teams to meet or exceed customer requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Base pay range $85,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Process Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and streamline operations. Leverage knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, assembly methods, quality control standards, and materials to drive improvements.

Root Cause Analysis : Utilize statistical methods and data analysis to determine root causes of failures and propose corrective actions related to design, tolerances, or processing methods.

Technical Expertise : Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, ensuring efficient production workflows and adherence to engineering best practices.

Customer Interaction : Engage with customers to understand product specifications and requirements, ensuring alignment with manufacturing capabilities.

Process Optimization : Introduce new methods and technologies to optimize production operations and enhance efficiency.

Problem-Solving : Troubleshoot product issues related to design, materials, or processes, and implement effective solutions.

Design for Manufacturability : Review and assess product designs for manufacturability, cost effectiveness, and operational feasibility.

Training & Support : Train production personnel on new or existing procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Communication : Facilitate effective communication regarding production capabilities, schedules, and changes that may impact production timelines.

Cost Reduction : Monitor and report on cost savings derived from method improvements, contributing to profit margin optimization.

Layout & Planning : Develop and design equipment, material, and workspace layouts to maximize operational efficiency, using CAD.

Quality Control : Coordinate quality control activities, implementing standards and procedures to address quality issues and maximize product reliability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams, including engineers, quality control, and operations, to achieve common objectives.

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the metal casting (foundry) industry or in the injection molding industry.

Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; highly preferred. Exceptional experience will also be considered.

Pay range and compensation package $85k-$100k including a full benefits package of health, life, dental & vision insurance with a 401K match and competitive PTO.
