Precast Project Engineer - Civil/Structural at Fisher Associates. Fisher Associates is a multidisciplinary design services firm with eight locations nationwide, providing civil/site engineering, transportation engineering, electrical engineering, landscape architecture, architecture, planning, environmental, surveying, GIS, construction inspection, precast engineering and construction engineering services. Fisher Associates is seeking a Precast Project Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and guide our team in designing and delivering advanced precast and prestressed concrete structures. In this key role, you’ll mentor junior engineers, ensure design excellence, and drive innovation across diverse civil and structural projects. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient, sustainable, and code-compliant precast solutions that shape the built environment. Lead and execute precast engineering and design tasks efficiently. Collaborate with project teams to deliver structurally sound, cost-effective, and visually appealing precast concrete designs. Perform and review structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety under various loads and conditions. Select materials and components for precast concrete production that meet strength, durability, and sustainability standards. Create accurate drawings, plans, and specifications for precast projects aligned with industry design standards. Support cost estimation for materials. Support Project Managers and Designers throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of codes, technologies, and advancements in the precast-prestressed field. Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables. Mentor junior staff and support their technical development. What You Bring, Your Expertise as a Precast Project Engineer
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s preferred. 10+ years of experience in precast concrete design engineering for transportation infrastructure and underground structures (utility vaults, manholes, drainage structures and pump stations). Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE-7, AASHTO. Familiarity with IBC codes a plus. Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it. Proficiency in AutoCAD & RISA 3D. Proven ability to deliver quality work through critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment. $100,000-$150,000, plus signing bonus Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors.
