(opening in early 2026). This wellness village will bring together healthcare, housing, and community services under one vision. The Wellness Center will provide comprehensive, affordable healthcare services, including medical, dental, and behavioral health, to patients of all ages. Erie Family Health Centers, a nationally recognized top workplace with 13 sites in Chicago and suburbs, is looking for a valuable addition to our Facilities Team. The Facilities Technician is responsible for routine maintenance of facilities and equipment and conducting periodic safety inspections to ensure a safe working environment. This role provides a $250 sign-on bonus at 90 days and another $250 at 6 months. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education within the identified range. Candidates meeting minimum requirements start at the entry point; additional skills and experience will be reflected in compensation. Main Duties & Responsibilities
Performs basic level maintenance, including changing light bulbs and ballasts, HVAC filters/belts, routine painting and touch ups, light electrical, light plumbing, and some carpentry. Performs special tasks or assignments related to housekeeping, maintenance, and cleanliness of the facility upon request. Sets up rooms for meetings. Performs groundskeeping tasks such as snow removal and salting, cutting grass and weeding, sweeping, and graffiti removal. Facilitates security; responds to security-related calls, checks that doors and windows are closed and locked, makes routine rounds, monitors safety hazards, and reports vandalism to the supervisor. Other duties as required. Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent Skills And Knowledge
Required:
Basic knowledge (reading and math competency) equivalent to high school completion. Basic computer skills required. Basic maintenance skills including electrical, safe operation of electrical plumbing and HVAC systems and carpentry repair with ability to safely operate power tools. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Valid Illinois driver’s license for driving Erie vehicles or between sites. Ability to verbally communicate effectively in English. Basic remodeling skills. Knowledge of OSHA and Joint Commission standards regarding hazardous materials and cleaning requirements. Good customer service skills. 2+ years’ experience in facilities/maintenance. Preferred:
