Overview

The Facility and Furnace Engineering Manager is responsible for maintaining, developing, and enhancing the facilities, kilns, infrastructure, and production equipment for Performance Ceramics and Refractories in Worcester, MA. This role ensures full regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement across operations. Key responsibilities

Leading complex projects focused on process optimization, equipment upgrades, and infrastructure improvements. Overseeing autonomous and preventative maintenance programs through direct supervision of the Maintenance Team. Applying broad engineering expertise across multiple disciplines to design, develop, and refine kilns, machinery, and production systems. Provide technical expertise in Kiln and sintering technologies; troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements. Managing all aspects of project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, installation, debugging, and performance validation. Serving as a team leader on cross-functional initiatives and acting as a technical consultant to line management and engineering staff in specialized areas. Collaborate with vendors, R&D, and cross-functional teams to identify and deploy new technologies. Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical) or related field of study required; Masters Degree preferred. 5+ Years Manufacturing Experience. Proven track record managing capital projects, furnace systems, and facility infrastructure. Experience supervising maintenance teams and leading cross-functional engineering initiatives. Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor or SolidWorks. Deep understanding of kiln and furnace design, sintering processes, and thermal systems. Salary and benefits

Base pay range: $102,000.00/yr - $158,000.00/yr. Additional compensation: Annual Bonus (target 13% of base salary). Total Target Cash range (base pay + annual bonus): $115,200.00 - $178,500.00.
