Overview

We are looking for an experienced, high-energy individual to join our manufacturing management team. The ideal candidate has proven engineering and project management experience and is interested in both analytical work and hands-on involvement in production. The right candidate will learn Samscreen processes with the end goal of making production, technical and quality decisions regarding methods, processes, equipment, and staff development. You will work with the COO in continuing the development of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement objectives in a fast-paced, custom manufacturing environment. The candidate needs strong project management abilities, the ability to work cooperatively with a network of peers, and a drive to contribute to measurable improvement in key performance metrics. Conklin, NY Primary Responsibilities

Implement technical solutions to resolve production issues, improve processes, and expand production capabilities and output. This includes execution of capital projects and continuous improvement projects. Lead 5S and Lean manufacturing projects with department supervisors to improve visual workplace organization. Design simple mechanisms, fixtures, and tools to support project implementation. Proficiency with AutoCAD is needed; familiarity with SolidWorks is a plus. Hands-on involvement in manufacturing methods and equipment implementation. Serve as the technical lead in resolving issues, training staff, and documenting new methods. Create, revise, and maintain Operations procedures. Develop expertise in Samscreen manufacturing processes. Support all operations functions, including scheduling, production, maintenance, and engineering. Understand ERP systems and how Samscreen uses ERP and related systems to meet production goals. Develop job travelers and work standards; contribute to production metrics. Propose capital equipment purchases and obtain approval from the COO. Assist with development, management, performance evaluation, and performance management of Production, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, Maintenance and Safety groups and personnel. Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field Previous manufacturing experience Previous manufacturing engineering experience Previous continuous improvement experience Strong analytical ability for solving production-related concerns Knowledge of procuring materials, equipment, and labor for production Proficiency in quality control, budgeting, and production costing Proficiency with computer-based administration, record-keeping, and procurement systems Ability to work independently under the COO and as part of a production team Strong communication and interpersonal skills for managing human resources and cross-department liaison Availability to work extended hours to meet deadlines when necessary Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated leadership ability and experience in a leadership role Ability to make, justify, and implement decisions Experience with CAD and programming G-code Ability to work both individually and as part of a team Detail-oriented, quality-conscious, and committed to upholding the organization\'s quality reputation Other Requirements and Physical Demands

Schedule is 1st shift, Monday to Friday, with potential for additional weekend/evening hours as needed Mix of shop floor and office environment Conformance
