The selected candidate will perform system-of-system trades, modeling, simulation and analysis to assess mission architecture alternatives for delivering a customer mission effect, data or capability as it fits within a broader campaign. They will perform analysis-of-alternatives and synthesize mission elements to lead to a cohesive mission solution. They will develop and execute mission engineering studies and operational analyses, and contribute to the team’s development efforts in Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM). They will provide guidance on implementing best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of operational analyses and systems engineering processes. They will develop materials and present to internal and external stakeholders. The role is flexible to changing priorities of the business unit and will adapt as necessary to accomplish business unit objectives. This position reports to the Mission Engineering Lead within the Advanced Programs operating unit in the SDS division and may include duties as a section manager within the engineering homeroom. Essential Functions
Provide technical direction within the Mission Engineering Team to ensure mission studies are executing to plan, requirements are met, and stakeholders (including customers) are satisfied with study progression. Orchestrate and prioritize team tasking to ensure they are executing to the schedule. Solicit input from various stakeholders, synthesize data, and communicate results to various levels of leadership within the organization. Develop CONOPs and related tactics into modeled simulation behaviors. Collaborate closely with cross functional teams and cross programs. Develop roadmaps and plans to support mission engineering strategic objectives. Develop new models and refine existing models for integration into AFSIM. Provide support to the Mission Engineering Lead in cost estimation, technical planning, and leadership briefings. Position Benefits

Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 8+ years of related experience Experience managing people preferred Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance and SAP approval within a reasonable period Experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have
Demonstrated engineering team leadership skills DoD Top Secret Security Clearance Experience with mission engineering and operational analyses Experience with multi-resolution conceptual model development and verification/validation for simulations Experience with Python Experience modeling capabilities into Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) Experience with Object Oriented Simulation Experience developing BOEs, IMSs, and responses to RFI/RFP Familiar with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Github, etc. Strong oral and written communication; ability to collaborate with stakeholders and across locations Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to achieve project results Salary range: Primary level salary range: $149,400.00 - $224,000.00. The above range is a guideline and may vary based on factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.
