Leasing Consultant | MAA Edgewater role at MAA Location: MAA Edgewater Responsibilities
Interact with prospective residents, communicate the resident value of living in an MAA community, and secure lease agreements. Initiate the verification process to qualify prospective residents; communicate lease expirations and facilitate lease renewals. Assist with property marketing activities. Respond to phone and email inquiries from prospective residents; apply sales techniques to schedule property tours; meet with prospective residents and check unit availability based on preferences and budget. Collect required information from prospective residents to qualify for a lease; complete all forms and data entry associated with leasing activities. Notify prospective residents of approval or disapproval; assist qualified residents with completing lease agreements; collect initial rent and deposit payments; assist new residents with the move-in process. Prepare and maintain files for each resident according to policy and procedures. Proactively contact residents with expiring leases to propose renewals and secure renewal agreements; reinforce the value proposition to overcome resistance. Assist with marketing efforts to promote positive awareness of the property and increase traffic of prospective residents; contact prospects by phone to market the property and schedule tours. Receive and respond to resident service needs; prepare work orders and triage requests; promote positive resident relations and provide customer service. Ensure adherence to MAA policies and safety rules; comply with reporting incidents. Support corporate culture initiatives; monitor property landscape and safety concerns to ensure quality aesthetics. Adhere to a varied work schedule, including weekends and some holidays, as required. Attend and participate in training programs and events, which may require travel.
